My painting practice constructs contemporary mythologies as a means of examining the
architectures of power that shape collective and individual experience. Drawing upon the
visual traditions of illuminated manuscripts and Persian miniature painting, I develop
intricate pictorial fields where allegorical figures, zoomorphic forms, and ornamental
structures coexist within carefully calibrated spatial frameworks. Myth functions not as
escapism, but as a critical methodology—an oblique lens through which systems of
governance, economic disparity, and human fallibility can be contemplated. While the
compositions initially present as harmonious and decorative, their layered symbolism
reveals underlying tensions, inviting sustained reflection on the quiet mechanisms through
which authority and imbalance are maintained.

Working primarily on watercolor paper, I employ watercolor, gouache, digital imagery, and
transfer techniques to build chromatically complex, densely layered surfaces. Pattern
operates as both structure and destabilization: honeycomb matrices, millefleur gardens,
and architectural borders simultaneously order and disrupt the pictorial space. Through
this synthesis of media and mythic language, I construct environments where beauty and
critique remain in deliberate tension. The work seeks to preserve ambiguity while
sustaining formal precision, positioning visual language as a site where ornament,
narrative, and critical inquiry converge.
